easy to fix you need to cut the tracks to the led lights then solder 2 wires to the leds next use a 1k resistor on one of the wires then conect it straight to the power surply just after the bridge rectifier noteing+ and -

SOURCE: Microwave interior light

Very easy to replace...at least on my JVM1790. Remove the top vent....the long plastic thing that runs along the top of the MW. Two screws on top of the micro. Behind the charcola filter (if you installed one) is an access area to the bulb. remove one screw and the entire assy comes out. Simply R & R the bulb.

SOURCE: Sharp Carousel Microwave has no power

I too believe that a "protection fuse" was possibly blown. It would need to be found and get replaced. Hopefully it is just a fuse and nothing else because the way it sounds to me, the microwave may be damaged.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: Microwave electrical problem

Unplug, take all the screws out from around the case. Remove case. There is a fuse inside (Without Model number I can't tell you right where it's located) It looks like one of the old round car fuses only it's white colored. It's made of ceramic. Replace it and put unit back together. This is a common problem when one does what you are saying yours is. Be thankful that's all, if you had anything working it would be something major and would be cheaper to replace unit if it a counter top model.

  • NOTE: DO NOT REPLACE WITH CAR FUSE. USE ONLY MICRO WAVE FUSE.

SOURCE: GE Profile Microwave - JVM2070SK02 - when turning

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

Sometimes this will also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Has stopped working. light gone off at same time. plug fuse has not broke. any ideas ?

There is a fuse inside the microwave also.It is a ceramic fuse, usually 15A.It has to be replaced with another ceramic fuse of the same rating.Bear in mind, the fuse blew for a reason,so if it is the interior fuse replace it after a search for a fault.

LG Microwave Clicking and Flashing

Go for a warranty repair anyway. It may be the magnetron, and the clicking is the big condenser discharging.

Microwave was in use and then shorted out. The breaker did not flip but microwave display went blank and interior light went out. Tested outlet for microwave and it still has power but now microwave is...

There are at least one or too fuses gone, the main fuse located on the main board or behind the control panel, and the thermal fuse located at top on the inner chassis that protects the magnetron, any more than that you are getting into serious money. Remember lethal voltages present when plugged in.

Flash in oven

The flash is usually caused by metal either being placed inside of micro or the interior surface might have chipped enamel exposing the metal underneath. Make sure no metal materials are placed inside while using and that the interior surface is in good condition.
