Had E2 message on mine, the part that pushed the door sensor (on the top left corner) had broken. If u want a temporary fix remove the cover & put something under it to hold it while washing
There is a sensor behind the lid. When closing the lid, press on the sensor on the left side of the back cover. often does not touch the sensor when closing the lid. Look for the problem there
I put this answer in the comments but re-posting here because I didn't know what I was doing : )
The Magic Chef 2.1 cu ft Portable washer manual says that its a door malfunction and the solution is to open and close the door. That did not work for me so if you're having the same issue that I am it may be that your washer is not level. I had placed mine on top of a few folded throw rugs to stifle noise (I live in an apt, on the second floor) and the rugs were uneven. As soon as i adjusted them, the washer began to work again. I hope this helps.

Probably something caught inthe pump. Will have to remove pump and take obstruction out. Only other thing I can think of is the pump ran tight and would have to be replaced

I am having the same problem with the "F" flashing and a beep but no numbers. The manual only says to hit the stop button then the start again. It doesn't give you a problem. It then says if this does not work to call a repair man. Mine is only two years old and we loved. I have never had any problem with it but every review I have read says differently and they seem to happen around the two year mark. It seems they have a malfunction timer that goes off at the two year mark. If you find a solution please post again.

Hi
There can be two possibilities, one if it has a belt, it is either stretched or slipping or if it doesnt have a belt then there is a clutch like device between the motor and the basket, which is either broke or cracked.
Or follow this easy steps...
Unplug the washer and turn off the water faucets.
Disconnect the water hoses and the drain hose and pull the washer away from the wall, leaving yourself enough room to work behind the appliance.
Lay an old towel down to kneel on and soak up any water that leaks from the hoses.
Remove the rear access panel.
Locate the motor. The rubber drive belt goes around a pulley wheel attached to the motor.
Press on the belt. If it gives more than ¾ inch or so, it needs to be tightened.
Loosen the mounting nut for the motor and push the entire motor to increase the tension on the belt.
Hold the motor in place and tighten the mounting nut.
Make sure you don't tighten the belt too much or it will break. You should be able to press on it and feel it give just slightly.
Replace the drive belt if it shows signs of wear.
Thanks for contacting fixya.com
