I cannot find the serial number or model number on my stacked Kenmore Washer Gas Dryer unit. I have looked at the outside of the unit and on all easily accessible areas, is there anyway to figure out which model I have or any place Ii may have not looked that this info would be hiding?

You'll need the serial code to check for the year, the serial code is located on various locations. Please check this picture to search for your serial number--

a stack unit is a very risky investment, altho it's understandable if you have limited space. if the hold downs on the washer are rusted out or broken thru you need to have someone weld them for you. That's how we used to do it where I worked but stacks are not usually easily worked on. I'm afraid you will probably have to get an entirely new unit or maybe a used one from a reputable used appl. dealer in your area. Check around, you might get lucky and find one relatively inexpensive
You are supposed to remove the top of the washer, and the dryer feet lock into brackets...but being lazy I just bolted the dryer to the washer using some metal straps (1/16" x 8 x 4 ") with some machine screws, and it's been fine for years. Not pretty, but I had the same question and no handy internet to help me at the time ;P
