SOURCE: High pressure hose connection blew up. Fix? or buy new?

Yes take it to napa auto parts and they can cut and attach a new end which are for hydraulics. They are crimped on and meant to hold very very high pressure. I used to use a pressure washer everyday for a living and it was a tractor rental/repair shop and we used the hydraulic fitting machine on the power washer hose all the time so rest assured.

SOURCE: Cant change the high pressure hose on a Karcher

On the Kärcher, you have a bayonet mount at the base of the tip end of the pistol grip. This is where you attach different types of nozzles and gadgets after having removed the existing sprayer tube. Just push in and turn a quarter of a turn, then you pull it off the pistol grip. The hose is possible to remove from the machine as well, an ordinary threaded mount but since you need the pistol grip to regulate on/off this is probably not what you want to do. If the telescopic wand is made by Kärcher it should be very easy to snap it into place just like when you removed the sprayer tube/nozzle. If the attachment was made to fit Alto washers there is an inexpensive adapter that works very well. Good luck!

SOURCE: durabuilt pressure washer 1600psi. Water leaking

Sounds like a faulty seal around the gun. Repair might be few bucks if you take it in. But the price of the part is probably under a buck. Depends if you want to rip apart it yourself.

P1800s power to the pressure washer. moter does not come on

When the power washer does not turn on, it is either due to no water flow or no electricity going to the power washer. In other words, either a water or electrical problem.
check water flow issue like this
  1. The high pressure hose, spray gun and lance must be connected to the power washer.
  2. The garden hose must be connected to the power washer using the garden hose adapter.
  3. Turn the water completely on at the water faucet.
  4. The power cord should not be plugged in.
  5. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun.
  6. If there is water flow through the spray gun and lance shooting 10 - 25 feet, this confirms water flow is NOT the problem for the power washer not turning on.
  7. If there is no water flow, perform the following troubleshooting procedures:
    a. Remove the lance, squeeze the trigger. If water flows, the lance is blocked. Use cleaning wire to clean the nozzle tip and try again.
    b. If no water flows with lance removed, turn the water off. Remove the spray gun from the high pressure hose. Turn the water on, if water flows, the gun is the problem. Reattach the gun, turn the water on and squeeze the trigger. Sometimes this unblocks the gun. If not, replace the spray gun.
    c. If no water flow with the gun removed, remove the high pressure hose, turn the water on to make sure there is no blockage in the hose. This is very unlikely but we need to make sure.
    d. If no water flows out of the water outlet, the quick connect garden hose adapter is problem. See Garden Hose Adapter troubleshooting.
  8. For electrical solution check
  9. The power switch was not turned on. Find the power switch and make sure the "-"side of the rocker switch is pushed down. "O" = Off and "¾" = On.
  10. Next, make sure the power cord is plugged directly into an outlet and NOT into an extension cord. The directions do say not to use an extension cord.
  11. Each time the power cord is plugged in to an outlet, the Reset button on the GFCI module must be pressed down to connect to electricity.
  12. Check to see if the Reset button has been pressed.
  13. Next, confirm the small plastic window below the Reset button shows RED in the window. The RED color is not a light but a RED screen that slides into the window when the Reset button is pressed down. Because it is not a light, it can be hard to see in low light. If you are unsure, press the TEST button down. If the GFCI was set and RED was in the window, you will hear and feel a "click."
  14. The RED color must stay in the window once the button is released. This confirms there is electricity going to the power washer.
  15. If the RED color goes away when the Reset button is released, there is NO electricity going to the unit. Try another outlet until the RED stays in the window.
  16. Now if the unit turns ON for a second or two with the Reset button pressed and the power switched on, it is working as it should. All that is left to do at this point is to squeeze the trigger on the spray gun and the power washer will turn on. When the trigger is released, the power washer will turn off. This is due to the Total Stop System (TSS) that only turns the unit on when water is flowing through the power washer. When the trigger is released, water flow stops which the TSS sensed and immediately shuts the unit off. a) So to review, if the Reset button has been pressed and is holding and the power switch is ON, the power washer is supposed to start up for a second or two and immediately shut off. At this point all you need to do is squeeze the trigger; the unit will turn on.

I have a Sears Craftsman 3.8 hp 2 gpm 1650 psi pressure washer that the gun leaks water at all times. I went to Sears parts and they say that this gun and parts for this gun are no longer available from...

Depending on the hose type, any wand will work on any power washer, you may just need an adapter. Is the wand hard connected to the hose, screw on or quick connect?

Water leaking from spray gun

It depends on were the water is leaking from on the gun. If the water is leaking from were the high pressure hose goes into the gun it could be that on oring as been damaged. If the water is coming from the trigger you may need a new trigger gun.

If you tell me your model number (1.xxx-xxx.0) i can tell you the part number that you will need to give to your Karcher dealer/supplier to replace it.

Does not give a continous high pressure flow cuts in and out

that is sure signal of insufficient water supply!

try easy solution first:
make sure that your mains is fully open, that tap on whihc hose is hook up is fully open and hose is of "decent" diameter to allow sufficient flow.

if above solution do not work then you need to make another, more difficult arrangement:
prepare 20litres pressure tank with inlet connected to mains and outlet by short hose to power washer, fill it with water from mains, keep it under mains pressure and use karcher power washer normaly. this will solve water supply problem. twenty litres will last about 2min, because it is re-filled, under standard pressure therefore it will last about 3min...

third possibility is to stop washing...

if you find my advice helpfull, please do not hesitate to left the comment and vote for me, thanx!

The power washer is surging cuting in and out when i turn da nozzele to get stronger water pressure?

When I use my machine I hook up the water to the pump, hook up the high pressure line and gun, then turn on the water full and squeeze the triger to make sure all air is out before starting the pressure washer(mine is gasoline powered). Then I install the nozel on the spray gun. If you are having surgeing water pressure Check the hose washer where the water hose hooks to the machine, and be sure the supply hose is not restricted and valve is on full.
If this was helpful please leave Feedback. Thanks, SP

Husky 1650 PSI power washer hose got brittle and broke.

If the $$ that you Husky Dealer is asking is to tall, try a garage that make brake hoses. Take the hose with you and many times they can remove your nozzle and install it on a new piece of hose. MAKE SURE that they understand that this hose is for a pressure washer...DO NOT use just any hose...it MUST be a high pressure rated hose.

STARTS AND RUNS FINE BUT WHEN I START WASHING IT QUITS SPRAYING AND THEN BUILDS PRESSURE AND KILLS ENGINE

The reason it stops spraying might be a clogged gun, hose or nozzle-tip.
The reason for pressure buildup killing the engine might be a stuck unloader valve in the pump.

While you are checking each component of the "output" side, spray some penetrating lube into the "input" side of the pump (where the garden hose connects) and let it be working on the unloader valve.

Fix the spraying problem first:
Start at the nozzle and verify that it is open by using low-pressure air. Clean or replace as needed. Next check the hose (with nozzle and gun unhooked) and finally the gun/trigger mechanism.
All must be clear and open to perform correctly.

Next, pour a few ounces of power steering fluid (or similarly LIGHT oil) into the garden hose, attach it to the pump and turn on the water supply.

Leave the "output" hose, gun, etc. UNHOOKED and point the output port of the pump (where the high-pressure hose connects) towards a vacant, safe area.
Startup the engine and allow the oil in the garden hose to work its way thru. (About 1 -3 minutes of run-time.) Shut it down and attach the high-pressure hose.
Hope this solves the problem!

Can't get the spray gun onto the hose from the washer...no manual

Your posting is incomplete, so I'm not quite sure what we're dealing with here.  I understand the machine and the high-pressure hose are Karcher - right?  Is the gun also a Karcher part?  If all are Karcher parts, they should fit unless the screw threads have been damaged.  If they are not all Karcher parts, they will not fit because Karcher connectors are different from almost all others.
Please post again if this doesn't help, giving as much detail as possible, and I'll see what else I can offer.
