Remove HD (optional, just in case u shake up the unit too much),
(i)
Remove battery,
remove 2-3 screws found in the battery comparment
(ii)
Pry up the keyboard bezel/power button cover by accessing slots above F2 & PAUSE keys,
it will feel extremely tight but work it a little,
try not damage your keyboard (try and pry/separate the back of the cover first).
(iii)
Look top-left,
u'll see a cable leading from the motherboard to the display
(iv)
CAREFULLY unplug the white connector and replug FULLY FULLY.
PLEASE pry and push the white connector housing ONLY not the fine wires.
THAT SHOULD BE IT!
If not i can take u to more advanced testing with meter and probes.

You need to update the software comes along with your preserio v5000. Try to install the software again from the CD.

Your lcd is bad, only way to fix is to replace the lcd.
