Storing documents on my sandisc cruzer 4.0GB flashdrive

The documents I save are opening but are unreadable. The conversion info is no working. It is weird. I save the document I created using microsoft word and when I go to open the document on the same computer, it opens as gibberish. Help

Check the file system format of the drive. With the drive plugged into the USB port, right click that drive letter and go to Format. There is a drop-down that will tell you what it's formatted to now. Today the industry standard is NTFS. To make sure that there are no conflicts also check the format your C: drive. These should both be the same. If your C: drive is FAT32, you will want to format the flash drive to FAT32.

CAUTION: Formatting a drive will wipe all of the data on the drive. DO NOT FORMAT YOUR C: DRIVE TO MATCH THE FILE SYSTEM OF YOUR FLASH DRIVE.

Scan the pendrive for virus infection, that may be the possible cause.Or try formatting it once and then check again if you cannot fix it using a antivirus.

    Connect your pendrive to the system,Open MY COMPUTER right click on the drive and select "SCAN",make sure you have antivirus software installed on your system (Try Quick Heal Total Security a full featured 30 day trial version).

try right clicking on the doc and check the open with option for opening the doc
then put a right click -> properties and check the default application for the doc

mam just insert the sandisc cruzer on your computer's USB. it should recognize your computer what you have been inserted(your USB sandisc). Just Copy the files you want to store in your Sandisc and thats it. hope that helps you mam

Lost word.doc while saving direct to Cruzer

autosave file is seldom saved to the data drive
will be wherever it was configured in Word,
may be the last version recoverable

in Word
goto
Tools
options
file locations

and get the location for 'autorecover files'
open explorer and the last saved file should(fingersXed) be in that folder
