A Virus Would Corrupt or remove/Change drivers.
You need to remove The Virus.
You should then remove The DVD Drive Manually from The Machine.
Start the Computer without The Drive, then power Off the Computer.
re-install the Drive, boot up and Hopefully it should be detected in ( found new Hardware ) if not, go to add new hardware wizard, and see if it,s detected there. A Virus Can Actually lock-Off a Drive.
You may get away with sliding something thin like a ruler down the side of CD magazine to disengage a lock. This works with some other brands of stacker.
Right click on my computer icon then click on property then ->hardware ->device manager
then check there is any cd/ dvd drive showing in list. If you can see your cd /dvd driver then uninstall it. then restart computer. But if you cant seen then you need to refix your cd dvd rom. For that pull your cd drive from laptop but make sure there is 1 lock system near rom just press that lock and pull drive then refix it.
Hold down the "display" button on the remote until the picture comes back. The manufacture phone number is 1-866-220-7116 for future reference. (Just in case) Thanks! //D
