It stores the texts in the outbox. It's done this before and i don't know how i fixed it.
I don't want to have to ring anyone from virgin or sony erricson.

I had the same issue. First, you have to identify if the problem is on the network side or on your handset. Call up the network provider's customer care service and find out if the text settings on your phone are apt. By settings i mean the service center number, 'circuit switched' 'packet switched' etc. If the settings are apt, and if you have enough text credit, the problem is with your mobile phone. Now, remove your sim card if its GSM and put it into another handset while you put another sim card in yours. Now, send text messages from each handset to the other, This will work fine. Once this is done, you can swap the sim cards again and the texts should work fine now. Best, k6
