2000 ford focus Trans shifts hard loss of power

Yes i currently got a 200 ford focus it ran fine for some time now, i do know from a fault code that i need to replace my throttle positioning sensor but requires a new throlltle body for the new part with is 230$ or more but anyway i don't know if this is relievent to the problem, the problem is when i start the car and take off it sometime slams into second gear or revs up and then shifts, and when doin 45-65 i loose alot of umph. also has a hard time knowing what gear it needs to be in . alright thanks. any info would be great

try the least expensive option first and flush the trans. make sure its a power flush and the trans cooler gets flushed out. and try an trans additive with the new fluid. 200 bucks is cheaper than 2000 dollars.

Ford Focus Engine System Fault warning light
yes there is a know problem with the fuel system. fuel pump breaks down, empty your fuel filter into a bowl and check for metalic, if you have this in the filter your pump is F..... along with all the other common rail stuff. expensive job... error codes though, i find that hard to believe, fuel pressure faults will occur, i think you garage does not know what to do. or does not want to tell you the cost of the job and he will be in doubt himself of wether he is right..... was you engine coil light flashing at any point.!!!
