GE WCVH6800 front load washer fill valve doesn't stop filling. It fills it to the point that water is leaking out the front (1/2 of tub). I purchased it 2 years ago and no warranty. Is it the valve...

In order for the pressure switch to work it has to get pressure.
The switch is located near the top of the right side panel and can be seen by removing the top cover. There is a small pressure hose that leads to the switch and should be checked for crackes or chafing. There are three round sponges on this hose to keep it from rubbing on the moving parts. I had to replace mine after just over a year so I used a heaver hose with the same inner diameter. I used a 3/16 fuel line from Princess Auto and two new 3/8 stainless hose clamps.

First, check out http://www.fixya.com/support/t8312220-ge_wcvh6800jms to run a diagnostic. I'm having the same problem and it's apparently the pressure switch hose. My t06 test is showing an E.

Also see if http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/washer-repair/91162-ge-front-load-washer-wont-wash.html describes your problem. BE SURE to heed the warning about the cancel/drain near the end of the page - I just spent 2 hours cleaning up water.

It over fills and over flows when set any more than the Extra Large setting and not near the Super setting

Ge has a problem with a sludge build up in the air dome/air pressure hose. This gives a false reading to the water level switch. Usually a simple repair, you remove the front panel by slipping a putty knife into the top joint of the front panel, until you press into the two clips that hold the front on. Tip the panel towards you, and remove. On the right of the outer tub, you will see a thin air pressure hose (about 1/4 inch thick), that comes from the top of the washer and runs down to a air dome that sticks out of the side of the outer tub. Pull this hose off, and clean out the hose and the air dome. You will usually have to run a wire or small screwdriver into the air dome to clean this. You may have to disconnect the other end of the air hose by removing the screws on the top of the washer, where the timer panel is, to get to the pressure switch that the hose is connected to. Blow through the hose to make sure it is clear. Reinstall the hose, make sure the connections are tight, and retest you washer. If this does not repair the problem, then replace both the water level switch and the air hose. Make sure the washer is unplugged before you do this repair. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

I have a GE model# WLSR2000G2WW washer and it's not spinning out at the end of the cycle it started not spinning out when set on small load only now it's not spinning out on large load either. But if I...

I found the hose hooked to the pressure was clogged down at the tub end. So it couldn't send a signal to the switch telling it the water had pumped out and it was time to spin out, the plugged hose was holding pressure telling the washer (falsely) that the tub had water in it so it won't spin if it thinks water is still in the tub. By pulling the hose off the switch end and blowing thru it to clear the lint and soap slime that was plugging the other end it works perfect now.

Ge front load washer won't go into rinse cycle.

Check the cold water hose. My brand new machine had this behavior until I discovered a kink in the cold water hose - works great now.

Washer will not fill

I had a problem almost like yours. The hose attached to the load size switch had a clog in it, and the washer wouldn't fill with water or spin. Will need to take the front panal off to check the whole line.
