What is the red fluid spraying from the enginee of a briggs and stration engine

set them both at .005 it will be fine.

That's a pretty common problem on small engines, but I never heard of brigs and stration! If that really the name, I am surprised that the real Briggs & Stratton did not sue them for trademark infringement, since it looks somewhat similar!

Your engine is getting too much gas ...soo much it's passing the rings. This is a total carburetor issue. What is happening is that from starting it over and over again, it's building uproducts more and more... the fuel inlet needle isn't closing enough to cut off the fuel.

2 options...

Get a new carburetor
Rebuild the old one


Also use carburetor cleaner, gum out, spray into the plug hole then reinstall the plug...don't use starter fluid...

If it's been stored with Ethanol gas inside, try siphoning it out and use new gas (with seafoam or other additive designed for storage next time.) Check for spark, and make sure the kill wire isn't stopping it from igniting fuel. Use starting fluid to help rule out problems with gas or carbeuretor.

check oil level, be careful not to over fill, drain gas, put fresh gas with cap full of fuel injector cleaner to offset eythenoyl gas .

just turn the engine till one valve opens and adjust the other one and repeat with the other valve

Its under the flywheel.
