Brand new fridge. makes constant humming noise is this normal?
SOURCE: Samsung Refrigerator
this is a design fault on the appliance normally caused by the failure of the element and built up of ice around the circulating fan (the humming is the fan motor trying to turn ) youll find that if you defrost it it will work for a little while and then ice up again the need to replace a panel inside the fridge modified and a couple of sensors and poss the heater element

I think I answered this in an earlier post.
The noise is the fan banging against the motor housing. It's not a defective motor, it's a poorly designed motor.
The solution is to shim the motor mount so it is slightly out of level which will keep the fan from bouncing off the motor housing.
The reason Samsung won't service is they don't understand the problem. I've seen this a half-dozen times.
Trust me -- SHIM THE MOTOR MOUNT!

Recently had a friend with the same problem. Found that one of the power supplies on the board had a blown capacitor. This allowed the relay on the board to energize but not enough voltage was being sent to hole the relay closed. Basically a blown board was the problem. I found the wiring diagram very informative, it was hidden behind the temprature potentiometers.

its got indigestion(gas bubbles)this should settle down after about 2/3 weeks..you could try turning it to its coldest then back off to -18
SOURCE: Constant humming noise. Will stop on ocassion but
My guess would be that your compressor is running and that is what the noise is. It could come from low gas or a faulty seal that it has to run continuously. Check if the coils are dirty under/back of the fridge and that there is a good airflow to cool off the coils
