The handle pull comes completely out when you pull the handle to use

Is there supposed to be some kind of sliding stop somewhere in the tube that prevents the handle from coming out?

Hi! There is a handle screw that attaches the handle to the vacuum that prevents the handle from coming out. I have included a link where you may go to purchase the handle screw if your vacuum is missing it. Hope this helps!

My steam vac leaks cleaning solution from the bottom

Where the water tanks fits into the body there is a valve that is suppose to keep the solution in place until the trigger is pulled. That valve has gone bad and will need to be replaced. To replace it, take the tank off, pop off the body handle housing with a flat screw driver, then take the two tubes that are gray color that are hooked to the valve, then slide the valve out and replace it with a new one and put everything back together and you should be good to go.
