Exterior door stuck closed (door lever moves up and down but tounge stuck closed) removed knobs manually retract ******
You will probably need to replace the latch assembly. There is a small rivet that holds part of the latch together, and it also acts as a pivot point for a small piece that retracts the latch. If it gets bent, the latch won't retract fully, but you might be able to push it back and get the door open.

Get a big scredriver and put it in the square in the middle of the mechanism and turn it till it opens, or you will just have to pry it out with the scredriver.
The latch houses the retractable part that catches the
striker plate. If the retractable part does not retract far enough, then
possibly that might need to be defective and need to be replaced.
