Kohler 14/20RESA Generator After a very nearby lightning strike, the auto start appears on continuously even when I completely disconnect the remote wires. Putting the generator into Auto mode results in instant cranking and starting and won't stop until I manually turn the generator off. Any ideas what portion of the control fried or needs replacing (or any suggestions on fixing)? Basically, I've lost the ability to remote start as it appears to be always in start mode.
If a lightning strike was anyplace close (30 yds) it's a safe bet your gonna have to replace the control board in generator also Id have a qualifyed tech ck out your auto transfer switch ,I bet he''ll find that you fried your coils on your switch too , do that before changing control board cus if ya hook up a new one to a bad coil ya just bought two of them

Check gas pressure. Oc is over crank. Means tried to start but did not.

U need to make sure that the relay driving ur auto start stay closed all thru the crank cycle.
