Call pilot will not dial into the extention to change greeting

1. Raise the handset on any telephone in the Panasonic Telephone system.
2. Press the "INTERCOM" button and dial 165.
3. When answered by the Auto Attendant, dial # XXXXX * 9 9 8.
(Pound Six Star Nine Nine Eight)
4. Enter the Administrator Password. Followed by a #. (Pound) If required.
5. Dial 5 to "Modify Message"
6. Dial 1 to "To Change The Company Greeting"
7. Enter the Company Greeting Number from 1 to 32.

If you are not sure of which Company Greeting Number to change, then start with 1.
The Panasonic Voice Mail system will actually play the greeting to you.
Then you can determine if it is the correct one you want to change.
If it isn't, you can dial 2 and move on to next greeting and so on.

If you select a greeting number where there is no greeting recorded,
the Panasonic Voice Mail system will prompt you to record one at that time.
You may dial *1 (STAR ONE) to skip recording and return to Step 7.

8. When you have found the Company Greeting you want to re-record
follow the system prompts to record and save your new greeting.

Note:
You can change the Company Greetings remotely from anywhere.
1. Call the main number of your business.
2. When answered go to Step 3 and follow the same procedures.
3. When completed....Hang up....

Depending what number your extensions start with, you need to go to the programming for the auto attendant and "undefine" the number in the menu. More than likely, it is built as a "thru-dial" and allows callers to punch in the extension. If you remove this, callers will have no other choice but to use the options in the menu. I can walk you through these changes if you want.

after dialing 72 you must first hit the instr key in the display than dial 001 or 002.

ok then the log in should be something like 1020000...

there is a way to reset the system password...
Ok there are a coupleof steps:
1. feature 985
2. The Call Pilot DN is displayed... now dial 9
3. Pswrd: RESETSMPSWD (73738767793)
4. RESET PSWD? Press YES. Login will be changed to default (1020000)

Usually technicians setup the pilot number to voicemails as extension 555 or 850. If you dial one of these extension and voicemail picks up press *. Your user ID will be your extension and your password should be your extension plus 997. Once in voicemail follow voice driven menu.

Your name is in the Company Directory if you chose this option when you first set up your mailbox. To change it AFTER you set up your mailbox, press feature 9 8 1, enter your mailbox password, dial #, press ADMIN ( or 8 ), display should read
Mailbox admin
GREET PSWD QUIT
dial 1, at the tone record your name, press # to end recording, press # to accept, press RLS
It will look like you are re-recording your greeting but you are recording your " voice " name. Good Luck. ...Mike

-Enter password to access system
-Press button for Greetings or Administrative Options menu
-Choose type of greeting
-Press button to change it and record new greeting
-Listen to new greeting and press button to confirm
-Exit system

built-in ic or program cannot change

Hi, if you are still having this problem you need to re-record the NAME on the mailbox as well as the greeting. On the Stratagy voicemail system, from the main menu after logging into your mailbox, choose option 3 then 6 to record your name. Hope this helps, ....Mitelmike
