You may need to use the reset utility again. there are other reset utilities for Epson "end of service life" issues, search on google.

I suggest you google 'what is a question'
read up on it and then return with a plausible one.

There is a utility called SSC Service Utility available on Softpedia.com which you may have already used but which I have no experience of directly. You may be able to reset these flashing status / error indicators with this utility depending on what the root cause of the problem actually is.

See the Epson Users Guide for your Epson Stylus C48 for further guidance on identifying the root cause by using the Epson Status Monitor utility.

This "service required" message is usually what you get from an Epson inkjet so first question has to be..
- What make?
- What model?

After that you have a couple of options.
1. Go to an Epson service center and pay considerable money to get the waste ink pads changed and the counter reset

or.

2. Redirect the waste ink flow to some form of external tank or container and reset the waste counter using a utility.

The latter option has various kits available on ebay, etc.. whilst the resetter relies on whether you model is supported by the popular SSC utility or a boot legged official Epson adjustment utility.


Of course there's always option #3 whis is to bin the printer and get a new one but frankly the Epson printers can last 5+ years with care and a bit of work so it's worth considering option #2.

The most help I can offer is a link to a utility program designed to reset most (if not all) parameters of a variety of Epson printer models. You need to determine if said utility program will work with your particular model. This utility is SSC Service Utility for Epson Stylus Printers and may be downloaded from here.
