Jensen VM9410 - Stopped Operating All Of A Sudden

I got in my truck a few months ago and went to turn on my Jensen VM9410 and nothing happened. It won’t power up, it won’t turn on, and it won’t respond to any of the buttons that I press, nothing. The only thing that does come on is the power button and it’s red. Please keep in mind that the unit was working perfectly for about 3 weeks prior to this happening. I have checked and rechecked the mini-fuse on the unit, the ground, the power wire, and the ACC turn-on wire. I even uninstalled the unit and kept it in my house for a few months and reinstalled the head-unit a week ago hoping that it would work after sitting unplugged for awhile. I have tried troubleshooting everything possible and I have even pressed the reset button several times…still nothing. Anything that you can suggest other than sending it in to be serviced? Thanks, Randy

Sound like to me you got a problem with the capcitor inside the unit, if its under warrenty it will need to be serviced. If its not I ould be checking capcitors inside to make sure there not bulging leaking or otherwisen ot wroking correctly.

Jensen vm9410 wont power up

easiest thing first. check the fuse on the hot wire on the radio harness. next, check to ensure the hot wire is to battery power, and the acc (likely yellow or orange) is attached to a wire that turns on with the ignition. next, check to ensure good ground. all this should take less than 10 minutes.

Jensen JS1000-A sub stopped working, why?

Is is possible that the receiver's subwoofer configuration turned off? double check your speakers setup in the receiver...Just an idea.

If your warranty is still good then definitely is better to get them to do it - (I don't know the model but usually this is quite a nightmare job and the spares required are impossible to get without another dead unit to cannibalise) if you want to contact Jensen - they are part of audiovox - follow the link below; http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/contact_us.jsp?type=nprev&catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&categoryId=874323&langId=-1&page=&urlString=&productId=&brand= Hope this helps :)
