It is ok to use 87 octane regular unleaded gasoline in a Honda EU2000 generator. I have been running it in mine for 4 years with no problems. Using the higher octane blends is just a waste of cash.

Hello I have a kipor 3000 generator I cannot get it started, the generator was in storage and it just won't start can you help out

It helps that you said it was " in storage".
I am assuming the unit runs on gasoline.
If so, it is probable the gasoline has turned to gummy deposit and the carburetor must be rebuilt.
This is common with any gasoline engine that sits for a long period of time.
I have this problem with my 2 generators.
In the future, if this was the problem, the gasoline must be drained out at the very start of the "storage" time.
God bless your efforts.

I have a 7500 watt guardian rv generator and it is difficult to start if not used on very regular basis. It cranks but will not fire. If I go out and manually fool with the choke it starts. Obviously it is...

Before starting the genset remove the air filter and check the throttle plate on the carberator, it should be closed. If it is opened, then you choke coil is worn out and needs to be replaced.
