What is the exact model number to your Videocon TV? Videocon uses both Toshiba and Sansui kits. Without knowing the exact kit fitted, it is difficult to inform you the correct service mode option. Anyway, check this and see whether it help you.

If this set is a new one please contact service for warranty free service.
The fault is related to some component getting heated up and cutting off the power to the unit. So the set hangs up when the feedback comes to the processor of a malfunction.
Try and cool the set to see if there is an extended time the TV works. If so you can use a" freeze it" spray to confirm the heating component.

I held the "Menu" button down for 15 sec. and it unlocked. Then used the Auto Set feature. It didn't work immediately on the two-towned
screen, but corrected itself within 1/2 hr.
