Assuming the base of the pyramid is square ... of length B and the distance from the center of the base of the pyramid to the top of the pyramid is H

Surface area is: 2 x H x B
plus B-square (if you include the base of the pyramid)

not possible to calculate with the information provided. here is a basic formula to get you close.
length x width x average depth x height in feet x 7.5 gallons / cubic ft

What is the pyramid total surface formula

A pyramid has 5 sides including the base. If the base is a rectangle L long and W wide, its area is L*W.

The other sides are triangles. If the height of the pyramid is H, the triangles that are L wide at the base will have a height of the square root of half of W squared plus H squared, or SQRT((.5*W)^2+H^2) and the two that are W wide at the base will have a height of SQRT((.5*L)^2+H^2). The area of a triangle is .5*height*base, so the total surface two triangles with the same height and base is 2*.5*height*base = height*base.

So, the total surface area of a pyramid L long by W wide by H tall would be:
L*W (the area of the base)
+ L*SQRT((.5*W)^2+H^2) (the area of the 2 triangles with base L)
+ W*SQRT((.5*L)^2+H^2) (the area of the 2 triangles with base W)

Hope this is helpful!

Volume of triangular pyramid

Here is to get you started. To increase the size of the image do a CTRL Plus (+) in your browser.
You need to calculate the slant height of the pyramid for the formula of the lateral area. You should find a value of (1/2)*SQRT(203) or about 7.1239 cm

913b74c4-c453-4afa-be3a-c3e781816e8d.png

You need to calculate the altitude (height) of the pyramid from the apex (summit) to the center of the base triangle (center of inscribed circle, barycenter, orthocenter). The hypotenuse of such triangle is the slant height. One leg is the altitude (to be found), the measure of the second leg is (1/3) the altitude of the equilateral triangle that forms the base. You should find (1/3) m MH= (1/3)* (11/2)*SQRT(3)

1. Calculate the area of the base (use a formula for the equilateral triangle or the general formula for a triangle: you have its height MH ).
2. Lateral area = 3 times the area of triangle Triangle ECD (in yellow above).
3. Total area = area of base + lateral area.
4. Volume= (1/3)(Area of base)* (height of pyramid)
If you can see the details on the screen capture below, fine, Press CTRL + in your browser to increase the size.

The total cost of C of producing n articles per hour in a factory is given by the formula C = a + bn where a and b are constants When 10 articles are produced the total cost is 320 when two are produced...

For this type of problem, a equals the constant cost of operation (monthly rent..etc) and b equals the cost to manufacture the items.

first equation: 320 = a + b(10)
second equation: 520 = a +b(20)

320 = a + 10b
520 = a + 20b subtract equation 2 from equation 1

-
200 = -10b divide by -10

20 = b plug b into one of the equations

320 = a +(20)(10) multiply

320 = a +200 subtract 200

120 = a

Let me know if i need to explain further.

Excel formula.....

Let's start with the 1st equation. I assume you want to be able to recalculate by changing the number of pages.

Put 65 in cell a1.
360 in b1
In C1, put the formula =a1/b1 that's your book thickness
In D1, put .02 for the cover
In E1, put the formula =C1+D1

Now you can change A1, B1,or D1 and the Total thickness gets recalculated automatically. Be careful not to type numbers into C1 or E1, or you lose the formula.

The same for the other equations - a cell for each number ("variable") and another cell for calculations.

Once you've verified the results, then you can get fancy and add titles above each field to make it easy to remember what goes where.

You may need to change the cell format to control the number of decimal places, or thousands commas. Right click on a cell and select format to see the choices you have.

Keep a backup copy of the spreadsheet in case someone (not you, of course) makes a mistake and overwrites the formula cells. You can also look into "protecting" cells to keep them from being changed.

Hope that helps.

The % of a discounted price

Lets say Your

MRP = 199
BESTSALE = 130

Now you want to calculate that howmuch percentage of BESTSALE i.e 130, will be added to get MRP i.e. 199.

If m right what do you want, then use the following formula:

Percentage = ((MRP/BESTSALE) - 1) x 100

In your case 199/130 = 1.5307....
So 1.5307 - 1 = 0.5307
Then 0.5307 x 100 = 53.07 %

Thanks

Excel formula

the formulae for the surface area of round disc is
pi * r * r
where pi=3.14 and r =radious of disc= diametre/2

for this 1st u have 2 calculate the radious of the disc that is
180/2=90mm
then convert it to  m by dividing 1000 ,so radious=90/1000=0.09 m
finally calculate the area= 3.14 * 0.09 * 0.09=0.025434 sq metres
for 38 disc multiply 38 with the above area that is
0.025434 * 38=0.966492 sq metres

in excel 2007  u can do it more easily by going 2 formulas tab.
Under formla tab click on engineering formula and  then convert
here u can convert from mm to m
after converting use the above formula i just told u.
