SOURCE: The bobbin holder is coming

  • When is the last time you have changed your bobbin? They do go bad and when they do it can cause a world of headaches and problems. Bobbins come in several styles and makes from wood to metal to plastic and are not always so universal. I suggest to change the bobbin with the exact same style as the one you are using and see if this helps.
  • Wind the bobbin with fresh thread.
  • Also remember that while cheap thread is cheaper it will shred, rip and jam more than it will stitch. I am not saying you are using cheap thread but just a reminder in case.
  • If you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask.
  • Thanks for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

SOURCE: I have a Janome 9700. Bobbin thread holder cannot be put back in.

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website reliable-store.com that i used to buy them from, and they have online it was very good
manual. Go ahead, I bet.

Problem with thread getting caught under bobbin holder

have you applied any lubricant to the bobbin holder the one that holds the bobbin? I would suggest using your manual and lube your machine. sounds to me like your mechanism is sticking.

Janome 9700 suddenly is showing warning. Raise

Ask the seller! He has a vested interest in helping your machine work! As a former newspaper writer, believe me, if you send something to a local rag, about your problems with your Janome, the seller will sit up, and take Notice!

Bobbin not winding tightly

BRAND new Janome 1420qdc. New needle, doesn’t need oil. Will NOT wind a bobbin. Used almost an entire spook of thread doing this. At my wits end. HELP!

The bobbin seems to be stuck and will not move...all it's doing is 'eating' the thread...what do i do? Thanks

Can you get the bobbin out of the bobbin holder? unplug the machine, then remove the needle plate, needle and pressure foot. Now can you get the bobbin out? It is possible that the bobbin holder has moved in the rotary hook, they can jump sometimes as held in by a magnet.

Check out your manual for instructions to remove the bobbin holder, it should show you how to take it out, and then clean under it, there is possibly thread caught in this area causing the malfunction.

You may find turning the fly wheel a little to turn the hook will help to free up the holder and get it out.

Here is image from my Janome 6500 manual, it should be similar for your MC.

So clean out the underneat of the bobbin holder, then reinsert it, and reassemble, thread and test. If this doens't sort the problem, then time to drive it to the Janome shop.

Singer/merritt 2430 bobbin fill

If you lift up the thread holder, the bobbin holder is inside. Loosen the hand guide to stop the needle from going up and down. Pull the thread around the top thread guide and back into the bobbin holder. Thread the bobbin and move the bobbin over so the guage is "inside" the bobbin. As for the manual, the Singer Merritt 2404 is applicable to the 2430 if that helps.
