Start car.turn on air conditioner high cool .raise hood look to see if the compressor clutch is engaged and running.if yes your ac air door could be stuck closed or the air door vacuum actutator not receiving vacuum.a vacuum line is broken or off. or the control switch bad.that control the AC and heater mode. if compressor clutch is not engagged.check for power at compressor clutch.if yes compressor clutch coil open. or the air conditioner refrigerant R 134 is low take car to a private garage with a good reputation. they wont be expensive as the dealership.have them hook car air conditioner to a manifold gauge set to check your refrigerant low side and high side pressure.

I have a Ford Ka on U.K. 06 plate, and it keeps blowing hot air out no matter what the settings is on, and it doesn't have an aircon system.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

To me it is the hot/cold controller knob or the electronic valve if it has one. It could also be the Blend Door Actuators sticking. Plus if the engine is getting to hot, you have airlocks. I wrote a tip on that.

Hi the heater on my Ford KA is only blowing out cold air even when turned to hot on the control knob. I recently had problems with it blowing out only hot air all the time and had a new solanoid fitted but...

Sounds like whoever did the repair work did not install the solenoid correctly or did not reassemble everything properly. If you had heat prior to the repair, the heater control panel must have been working. The mechanic must make a better diagnosis than this.

My heater in my Ford KA 1999 has stopped blowing hot air and now only blows cold air. A friend has suggested it might be a fuse, just wondering if anyone knows where the fuse box is or any other...

Fuse box is behind a panel under the dashboard on the steering wheel side. Heater solenoid is #12 I believe.
A cold heater is most likely a bad solenoid valve. This pulses off and on to give the required water flow into the heater matrix. It seems a common fault that this solenoid fails or the valve itself gets blocked. Ford parts are expensive (£50?) and scrap yards don't seem to have them. A competent DIY'er can do the job in about an hour if they have the replacement part. Requires taking off the cover between bonnet and windscreen and grovelling down behind the bulkhead (apparently). I know all this 'cos I need to do the same - my daughter's Ka has the same problem!

Ford ka heater blows hot air all the time

Taurus does not use a heater control valve. It runs coolant thru the heater core constantly. You may have a temp blend door actuator problem or a plugged up heater core is also very common. Feel the heater hoses, they should both be very hot, it one is much cooler; you can try to back flush the core.
