Make sure that the scanner is connected to the pc. if the scanner only ahs the red light and no other lights on the scanner come on then you will need a replacement scanner - contact the tech support to arrange this

Go into C:\programdata\ and remove the kds_kodak folder. It may ask you to skip files it can't delete. Just click skip for all of them (probably around 15 files). Then reboot your computer and you should be able to scan.
