Re: I have a 2001 chrysler voyager where is the blend...
Its in the HVAC heater core box,
how to remove it is a very long answer.
read the FSM on HVAC
or login to alldata.com see HVAC chapter, and read. it.
anyone can, not just me.
i see this on line,.
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove first row seat.
Remove second row seat.
Remove sliding door sill trim panel.
Remove quarter trim bolster.
Remove D-pillar trim panel.
Remove first row seat belt anchor.
Remove second row seat belt anchor.
Remove screws attaching quarter trim to quarter panel from bolster area.
Remove screws attaching rear edge of quarter trim to attaching bracket.
Disengage hidden clips attaching front of quarter trim to quarter panel rearward of sliding door opening and at locators.
Remove quarter trim from quarter panel.
Disconnect speaker wire connector on LWB quarter trim panel with rear air conditioning.
Pass second row seat belt through slot in trim panel on long wheel base vehicle.
Pass first row seat belt through slot in trim panel.
Remove quarter trim panel from vehicle.
Remove the two screws that secure the top of the quarter trim panel attaching bracket to the quarter inner panel.
Remove the screw that secures the back of the rear heater-A/C unit housing to the right D-pillar.
Remove the screw that secures the front of the rear heater-A/C unit housing to the right quarter inner panel.
Carefully pull the top of the rear heater-A/C unit housing away from the right quarter inner panel far enough to reach between the rear heater-A/C unit housing and the quarter inner panel to access the blend door actuator.
Remove the two screws that secure the blend door actuator to the rear heater-A/C unit housing.
Pull the blend door actuator away from the rear heater-A/C unit housing far enough to disengage the actuator output shaft from the blend air door pivot.
Raise the blend door actuator far enough to access and disconnect the rear HVAC wire harness connector for the actuator from the actuator connector receptacle.
Remove the blend door actuator from between the rear heater-A/C unit housing and the quarter inner panel.
The temperature door actuator is located at the bottom of the heater housing at the center terminal. It looks like this:
To remove the actuator
Remove the left and right underpanel silencer ducts.
Remove the two retaining screws from the actuator which are accessible from the right side of the center stack.
Remove the screw from the actuator on the left side.
Pull the actuator straight down from the shaft and disconnect the electrical wire. Upon removal, matchmark the shaft position of the actuator, because the shaft on this motor is keyed.

Locate the blend door actuator. The actuator is located behind the dashboard, usually on the passenger side. It is a small, rectangular motor with a wiring harness and a linkage arm.
Disconnect the battery. Before beginning any work on the electrical system, disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical shorts or other accidents.
Remove the dashboard panel. In order to access the blend door actuator, the dashboard panel may need to be removed. Consult the vehicle's repair manual for specific instructions on how to remove the panel.
Remove the old blend door actuator. Disconnect the wiring harness and the linkage arm from the old blend door actuator. Remove any mounting screws or bolts that secure the actuator to the dashboard.
Install the new blend door actuator. Install the new blend door actuator in the same location as the old actuator. Secure the actuator with any mounting screws or bolts. Connect the wiring harness and the linkage arm to the new actuator.
The most likely problem is either the blend door actuator or a broken blend door itself.
Both are only accessible by complete removal of the instrument panel(dash).
The blend door actuator can be tested with a Chrysler factory scan tool hooked up to the DLC(data link connector). If blend door actuator is working when tested with the factory scan tool, then blend door itself is at fault.
The only other way to test the blend door actuator is to test for 12v at connector, but you would have to remove the instrument panel in order to gain access to the actuator
Hi Greyling, I'm glad to help. Your Voyager has a complete heater unit that comes all together and all the doors and motors are timed for proper use. My suggestion is to by the complete unit because if you get one door un-timed the heater unti will not work properly. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Greyling.

Blend air door may be stuck. I removed a pencil from a heater box before. It had fallen from the dash, down through the defrost vents and jamed the door.
If heater core is getting coolant circulating through it then you may have a temp blend door, or blend door actuator not working properly. The blend door is located in the air box under the dash, and the actuator is located on the air box. You may be able to visually check the operation while turning the temp knob, by locating the coresponding actuator on the air box and monitoring the movement. If it is moving ok and still no heat then the blend door, or lever is broken, which will require removal of the dash.
most likely needs a LH (bottom) temp actuator. Located in the center of the dash on the bottom, you have to remove the hush panel on the rh side of the truck
I would look at the air blend doors first, it sound like they are not working or your control in the dash is not working send a signal to them. they work by changing the air from hot to cold or in between.
