yes it's posible to replace screen but thing is it will cost you the allmost 75% price of LCD

Ik think you should remove some screws. after that, most of the times there are clips that holds the two parts together. The best you can do, is squeeze a guitar pic or so betweer the panels, and twist the guitar pick. That will do the job.

I said a guitra pick, but it can be anything. As long as it is flat and thin.

Your resolution is too high or too low try changing it.

made 2003 a real relic, gee it ran for 14 long hard years. amazing.

the CCFL tubes are dead , or dim, all CCFL this old are dead.
or weak or intermittent and all are bad.
the background lamps died
in a dim room point flashlight to lcd see, data, bingo for dead CCFL.
the MON will fail on all PC connected to. for sure.
best reso and max is 1280 X 1024 @ 60Hz

try to resolder all lost contact on flyback transformer..............................

try to check the capacitors

sounds like the backlight is defective. You can probably get a new backlight online if your comfortable taking apart sensitive electronic equipment BUT you must be very very carefull and handle the lcd with care as you can easyly damage it. Oh one more thing the power supply may also be defective for the backlight. I would contact the manufacture to see about the repair or replacement parts as they should be listed in your operators manual. Good Luck
