SOURCE: No Power to FGF366ESB Range

althougy ou cked circuit breaker did you try unplugging unit waiting 2 min then plugging back in. sometimes you get lucky and will reset. has to do with high voltage bleeding through to low voltage wiring. if it works, your good!!!! if not remove the back panel and check the clock/control for icoming power. as long as you have 110v going in at the black (L1) you should have a display. if you have powerand no display you need a new control.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Smooth Top Range/Oven stopped working

Hello all with this oven not working problem!!! I had this happen and I found exactly what causes this to fail. The circuits operate in the following manner... The oven is controlled by a double pole single throw heavy relay (wired as a single pole single throw or simple off/on relay) that supplies power to 2 other relays.. The oven relay is a double pole double throw relay (6 contacts 12 volt coil, ) it is normally open circuit, that is when the main relay turns on the power goes to the oven relay but no further. The other sie of the oven relay is wired to a second relay connected to the broil element that is normally open circuit with the other side of the DPDT relay going to Leg 2 120 volts. So in normal off mode the broiler is connected to the one side of the relay, common is connected to Leg 2 and the other side of the relay is connected to the other side of the oven relay.
SO when you call for the Bake Oven element, the power goes through the main relay to the oven relay, the oven relay clicks and now connects the oven relay to the set of contacts on the broiler relay that is connected to Leg 2- now the oven turns on. When you ask for broil the oven relay turns off and the broiler relay tirns on connecting the broiler to leg 2 (bypassing the oven relay.
I know its long winded but basically to operate the oven the power goes through 3 relays where the broiler only uses 2 of the relays (not the oven relay) Kinda dumb way to do it I suppose BUT the idea is to never have a situation where the oven and broiler can be on at the same time.
Heres what happened with my oven.. the broiler relay failed (broke internally) and the common contact shorted across both of the other terminals momentarily turning on BOTH elements, the sudden inrush of current literally exploded the output contact on the main relay and vaporizing the lead, trace and solder joint.
It was a mess... badly burned.. I found a new relay (omron) to replace the main relay.. but the other 2 were Omrons that I could not find replacements for (12 volt coils is the issue) So I did find some potter brumfield relays that were rated 10 amps per pole so I wired these externally from the timer board (ran wires to them) (doubled up so each relay was using both sides in parallel so it can handle 20 amps) The elements only use about 8 amps each anyways this worked great and since the new relays are on spade terminals with quick disconnects, are easy to swap out of they fry again (doubtful) Its a forgone conclusion these timers are ready to fry at any time and I can almost guarantee the WILL blow.. the relays arent very heavy duty at all... I would not buy another of these.. pretty weak control.. expecially these small relays.
Good luck in your repair.. a new timer was 300 my repair was 50 and WILL NOT fail like theirs did.
Cheers
Dave

Whirlpool gold accubake system keeps displaying the message "Dr Lo". Every 60 seconds it will beep like 10 times and display the message then display "start?" Normal function dont work either I can push...

The Dr lo is for the warming draw. I assume you have a warming drawer. Page 17 of your manual describes how this function works. It also states on page 11 "The Off/Cancel pad stops any function except the WARMING DRAWER, Timer and Control Lock. If you have actually unplugged the stove and plugged it back in it should come on with a PF for power failure. You push the Off/Cancel pad to clear the PF and then you have to push start to do anything else. such as bake, etc. Have you pushed Drawer OFF? That should clear the dr lo message. If this message comes on as soon as you plug the stove in or just after you push the Off/Cancell pad or after you push start or bake try to push Drawer Off. If this does not work then it apppears you have a malfunctioning control panel.

Premier 30 inch gas stove oven does not light

do you hear any clicking when you try to start the oven portion of the range? if not lets try this, open the lower drawer so you can see the burner bar and mechanism for lighting the bake bar. as your watching the mechanism turn on the oven (nothing should happen as per your issue) while oven is on try lighting one of the top burners, any one will do wanna check if that lites the spark and in turn lites the oven pilot.if that does infact work you have a bad spark switch for the oven control

Oven, Broiler inopperable

Sandwich, is it your bake or broil thats not working? You have two ignitors, one for bake and broil. One of them is your culprit. This is not a hard job. The post header says broil not working so the part number for that is WB13K0003. Bake ignitor is WB13K0004. To get at the bake ignitor you have to remove the oven bottom inside panel, remove the flame spreader (both easy). The click you are hearing is the board relay sending power to the ignitor. The ignitor has to draw so many amps to open the gas valve. The oven is pilotless. Catriver..post back.

GE Spectra XL44

Sister, there is no pilot light on this model. Sounds like you have a bad ignitor, however the F7 code shows as a bad touch pad membrane. d7 must represent how many times this fault occured, although Im not finding anything that shows a d7 code. Try resetting the board by killing power to the range for about a minute. After turning the power back on press the COOKING TIME, DELAY START AND NUMBER 8 PADS ALL TOGETHER. The words test should be displayed. Now you are going to energize the bake circuit; press the bake and start, you should hear a click, this is the bake relay on the board. By holding the start button in you are energizing the ignitor (glow bar) in the oven. If you do not hear the click, suspect the control board. If you do hear the click and the ignitor is not glowing, you have a bad ignitor. Have someone with you to verify the ignitor is glowing when you are holding the start button in. To exit the test, just push CLEAR/OFF key pad. Catriver...post back
