1 Answer

Need a circuit diagram of a dewalt charger DE9108-xe 7.2V-18V one hour charger type 1:Q 96307-12/15 OUTPUT : 2.6A 7.2-18.0V 46.8VA

If I cannot have wiring diagram then can someone tell me there are 2 resistors{3 watts}in series just after the bridge rectifier & near a large electrolytic capacitor reading 400V-47micro farad & because of the heat generated within these resistors I cannot read the colour code on them they are still working one reads 10.2k ohms & the other reads 11k ohms so would they be 10k,11k or even 12k resistors thxs

Can you (carefully!) measure the volts across them with a load (battery) and then the current through them by disconnecting one end, and if the charger is still working OK then they are V/I ohms, choose nearest value. 10k sounds very high, are you sure they aren't 1 ohm or less?

18v. charger (dewalt)

I did a little hunting and it seems you really want to use your 110v charger on a 230v supply.....

So you could use a transformer (LINK)

or you could get a local power supply pack.

Read the label on back of power pack that attach's to wall socket and charger base, see what input it can handle, some gear can handle like 110v-230v, others cant ie will read 120v

Any adaptor that puts out the same output as the original would work ie 18v DC 2.5 amps is your specs i beleive so use a transformer or another suitable adaptor

Please check my quoted specs are the same as listed on power pack of your charge ie I am assuming you are using your 110v A.C. to 18v 2.5amp D.C power pack
