I have a polaroid FLM3201 flat screen tv how do i get these weird loking smudges off the screen?

The smudges almost look like tears

I had similar probs with my lcd... my speakers were too close to my tv !

Ur LCD inverter board is dead.Replaced this board will get ur picture back.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter card to replaced.The board shape is a long board.

SOURCE: No sound on my Polaroid flat screen

Unplug,replug the tv about an hour later.Go in ur tv menu.Go to AUDIO,go down to reset it,well go back to factory setting.Ur sound should return.Not,than ur Tuner board is dead.Trires websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner board for the replacenent.

I have a polaroid flm3201 and I am using the troubleshooting chart and it asks to check the cn905 for 5 volts, where is that chip located?

cn is usually a connector not an IC. If memory serves me correctly, it will be a cable connector between 2 boards. If you can describe the problem with the set, perhaps I can give you some additional guidance.

Hello! I need the universal remote control for FLM3201 polaroid tv, do you know how i can buy this?

You can purchase a universal remote anywhere; walgreens, cvs, walmart, target, best buy etc...

I purchased mine at walmart for less than five bucks, GE Universal Remote. The code for this TV or any Polaroid isn't in the in package manual, so that kind of sucks. After serching online for a code for this mode, I found it fairly easily:

1019 is the code, just got it to work on mine.

How do I get smudges off the tv screen?

DO NOT USE WINDOW CLEANER. Use a soft damp cloth. If that is not enough, Soak the cloth in warm water with 1 drop of liquid dish soap, like Dawn.

The problem is your light engine is failing. The part number for this is UX22201DR and is available for purchase with the following link. It runs $334 dollars and really is a part that needs to be replaced by a technician due to the complexity in tear down to remove it. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thanks...

I have a Polaroid FLM3201 and all the sudden it just went out and will not come back on...Repair guy wanted $425 to fix...can I replace the LCD board myself?

I cannot guarantee you the part will fix this since I cannot see teh TV and diagnose it. I can most likely get the part for you after reviewing tech manual but I need serial #, manufature date and complete model number which I believe you supplied but please confirm. I can have teh part(s) shipped right to you and if you have any electronic work experience, you can probably replace the part yourself.

Polaroid FLM-3734B 37 in. HDTV LCD Television has a black smudge in the picture. The smudge never moves and is there no matter what we are watching. I fixed the sound problem, but now we have this.

Without actually seeing the problem, I can't be 100% sure, but this sounds like a defect in the LCD panel itself. Is there any possibility that you can post a picture of the problem? That would allow me to confirm the problem. Please note that if the panel is the problem, the set is not worth the repair as the replacement panel costs $2209.15 plus shipping.
