Try to open the cabinet.
remove the cmos battery
turn on the system
if problem is not solve remove the bios jumper and turn on the system.

Perform a system recovery:
Does not come with recovery cd's - there is a program that allows you to burn the disks or
recover.
3 ways:

1. If in Windows - Start - Programs - Acer empowering technology - Acer E-recovery management -
click on Restore at bottom then "Restore to factory default settings"
2. Or click on Burn disks instead of restore
3. if unable to ge into Windows then Alt/F10 during boot right after Acer splash screen on startup

Press F2 to enter BIOS setup at startup. You can set which devices appear in the list from the boot menu.

Need a password for my acer t180, so that i can restore factory settings

It appears that someone has placed an Administrator password on the machine. To reset the Administrator password, unplug the desktop, open the side cover, remove the CMOS battery for 10 minutes. Then replace the battery, cover, plug the machine back in and reboot, hitting ALT+F10 at the same time to enter the recovery mode.

My Aspire M5641 Freezes at Acer Screen. It says at Bottom of Screen " DEL: Enter Setup F12 : Boot Menu". I cant do anything from here with computer. Any suggestions?

Does it say anything else? Sometimes this type of recurring message can be due to the system time not being set. Entering setup and configuring the time may work.

How don i bypass a password and get into my computer without loosing all my memeory

When you boot up look at the boot screen and see which f key allowes you to enter the BIOS.
You will miss it first time round buts its normally F12.
If you miss it (it will be top right on the maufactures splash screen i.e, first screen) once you know it rebbot and press that key
Enter the BIOS and so long as you know the password you can remove it or replace it.

Computer wont load up

If you can open you system than what you have to do is just to unplug the hard disk power cable and data cable and refit is properly and than start your system. This will definately help you unless your system is not effected with virus.

check your removable media disk drives and make sure that you don't have like a jump drive or CD-Rom that the computer doesn't like. If that doesn't work, enter the BIOS setup (usually F2, F12, ESC or something like that....check the bottom of the screen.) and find the Boot Order settings & move hard drive to #1

sound like the hard drive. do you hear the drive spinning?? you may need replace or reformat.

Acer Aspire T180-UB72 does not boot

I have the same model and had the same problem. Fortunately there is a simple fix - unplug all your USB devices (mouses, printers etc). It should now boot!

Assuming that fixed it, it was trying to boot from a USB drive for some unknown reason. I think it was due to the latest windows XP update. Wierd. Hit F12 next time you reboot and make sure it is booting from hard disk first.
