I am having some problem with my XPERIA X10 cell phone which is not under warranty now. I tried to consult a mechanic(friend) about it and he could not give me a solution. By the way,he is not a professional. The problem started after I dropped the phone few months ago while chatting with a friend in the stair. No damage in the screen or inside. It's completely fine to use to do anything except some weird problem started to show up in the wireless. It can't find a signal even-though I am in-front of the router. What can I do?

You can still unlock the phone by using
"totalgsm"
software and your data cable that you got with your handset.
You will need to pay for some credits for the software to unlock your phone and your computer needs to be connected to the internet whilst it does it.
It's worth looking around for different prices too. I looked for a c902 and found prices ranging from £25 to £7 after you work out the exchange rate from Dollars to Sterling.

try to hold the beginning of the usb-cable on your mobile side upwards.. or downwards? if it works u know your usb cable or mobile plug-in isn't working so you have to buy a new usb-cable or you have to let your mobile fixed at the store.. if nothing happend: I DON'T KNOW.. but that's what happend to my SE X10

Have you & him trusted both the devices first?
Sometimes this has to be done for the good smartphones that have secure wi-fi settings defaulty installed on the systems from manufacturers.
Go to your Connections settings.
Select: "Trusted Devices" if you have that one or similar wording.
Make sure your friends 9700 is selected as a Trusted Device so that you'd be able to pair information across.
dude!! thanks for your work. but, whenever i switch on my cell after few minutes its gets automatically switch off even before connecting USB with PC. if these problem will be there then how can i connect to pc nad update software.really aanoyed. any other solution??
