Sony Ericsson media manager software

I have installed both the Sony ericsson PC suite and media manager the pc suit works ok however when using media manager and it asks me to swith my phone to USB mode the Media software does not see the phone, the phone i have is a W910.

can you help thanks alan

What OS are you running? Does your system use USB 1.1 or USB 2.0? Try powering off your w910, wait a few seconds to make sure it completely cycles off, then connect your phone to your PC. It should turn on in USB (ie. 'Mass Storage') mode. If Windows attempts to Autoplay the device, Cancel the dialog. If Windows attempts to install any drivers for the device (or Vista prompts you to scan the device), Cancel the dialog(s). If you go into 'My Computer', is your phone recognized here (as a USB Mass Storage Device)? If not, the app is not going to recognize it either. Try disconnecting any other USB devices or memory card readers.

How to read sms, of my sony w810i phone through computer

You must download PC suite first in order to read sms of your W810i on our computer.Things that you require are:

Data cable.
Phone monitor :It is the PC suite for Sony Ericsson W810i that will allow you to do task like reading SMS on your phone managing them,contacts and data etc.

Installation instructions:

Download the file to a temporary folder on your PC.

Download the Sony Ericsson PC Suite and install it on your PC if you use Windows.

The phone is a device and as such needs drivers installed in order for Windows to detect and install it as a media source. After installing the Sony Ericsson software, you may not need to actually run the software suite to access the pictures on your phone.
