My camera is taking the picture fine but on the viewer screen it is hazzy with line through it.

did you push in the battery all the way so it clicks? I forgot to do that at first. =\

in what setting did you take this picture ? try a camera reset (it is in the setup ) if that doesn't work try the internal memmory first, than a Xd card

are the pictures it takes only so on the camera or also on the pc ?

I have the same issue, Although My camera is a samsung N46, It was working perfectly the night before, then my friend switched it on and it came up with a black backround and pink + purple vertical lines going through it.
