When my Haier washer is started it begins to fill normally but at about 2 minutes in it begins draining simultaneously. My washer then never fills up to continue to continue to wash. Any thoughts on what it might be?

The machine is pretty generous with the drain hose out of the box, about 7 ft. and it can be rerouted to come out of either the left or right side at the bottom. Just make sure to put the end above the level of the top of the machine. Otherwise, it will siphon out the wash water and will never fill. The Chinglish instruction book is in error on this point.

Can you check if there is any leak under the washing machine. This will cause the drainage of water whether its soapy water or normal water. There are certain specific ways to determine whether there is any way that the water is getting drained away. I am posting some articles here which will help you to determine it step wise.

Check for a modular unit in the machine that controls the wash action of the machine. If it has malfuctioned there will be no power for the motor. Check with the spares departtment if your machine has this unit

Is the hose in the sink or on the floor? If in the sink, it sounds like the pump is running all the time. If the hose is too low, it maybe syphoning out the water as fast as its going in.
