Why does my washing machine fill, tumble, second phase fill then it trips the fusebox

My washing machine fills, tumbles ,second phase fills then the fusebox trips this is happening on every programme i thought it might be something to do with the heater element but i tested it with a meter and it seems ok i then thought it might be a problem with the heat sensor so iv'e replaced it that was no good it won't even do a cold wash the only programmes that work are the rinse, spin and empty cycles any help in solving this would be much appreciated

Hi Carol Noonan, I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. What are the make and model of the washing machine?

SOURCE: Pre wash not happening

poss blocked filter which also controls your pressure system, on your machine I believe if the prewash ligbt is flashing it would indicate a blockage there

SOURCE: no heat on tumble dry programme. Display flashed F 13.

You need to replace the heating element for the dryer which is positioned on top of the outer drum. Remove the top cover of the machine and locate the heater.

SOURCE: dihwasher not working

I had a hotpoint engineer try to fix this type of problem.
He insisted that there was something stuck in the bottom of the pump.

Sure enough there was.
1. Unplug your dishwaser at the wall.
2. Remove the grill under the bottom rack.
3. Ensure that the filter is free from food and other obstacles and clean the filter.
4. Before replacing filter etc, get a piece of metal coat hanger wire and care fully insert it down the channel under the filter to free any lodged items. You may also see a small white impleller try to turn this with your finger or the coat hanger wire (this is the info from the engineer!).
5. replace filter and retry a wash.

This routine fixed or machine twice and will hopefully fix yours!

Don't forget to rate me!

fyi
The third time about 1 year later this occured again and even hotpoint gave up as they could not fix the machine. (after multiple visits). I think that the two flashing lights are were a red herring and the dishwasher had a separate intermitten fault. Hotpoint replaced the unit for a mimum charge. Callout + 40

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call to confirm that it is not something else ;-0(
Good luck,

Front loading washing machine will not tumble or spin

This sounds like a drive belt porblem. The belt that connects the drum motor to the drum has slipped/broken/worn out. A new drive belt will most likey fix this one...

Alternately, a loose or broken pulley. I don't suspect a bad motor, since you say you can hear it clicking and whiring...

Rinse cycle

If the machine has a soak cycle, you can use that. If it does not, you can have it fill on a cold rinse, and then stop it for a soak. Restart it on a hot wash with a cold rinse. Tumble dry low.

Washer is not tumbling after water fill.

You may have a corrupted ccu or relay. Does the machine drain and is there an error code? It starts ok and then does not continue and the pressure switch is ok? You may want to remove the swith and lightly blow into it and check for continuity and then ohms. Any small measure and I would replace it. Also if the ccu says it is ok and it is not then I would question the ccus ability to function normally.

TUMBLE DRYER

Hi, It wont fill up when the full tank light is on because it thinks the tank is full. Remove the tank and feel down inside where the tank sits into the machine. You should feel the switch, it sounds like it is stuck down.
