I have a quantum 6000z powerwheelcair. It's about 3 yrs. old and has never given me problems until recently...while I'm out, the chair just suddenly turns itself off..The last time, I was lucky someone offered to push it manually to my home..I rechecked it about 5 mins. later and it came bk on without a problem.

Quantums are good chairs, but they have had some electronic issues. My first recommendation would be to see if you have the most current firmware update. This may take a tech with a newer programmer to do.

Quantums usually have a panel on the back of the chair that the joystick and other things plug into. Remove the panel and check the connections. Sometimes, the plugs work loose or begin to wiggle. I've had to secure a few with electrical tape to make sure they don't loosen.

SOURCE: Merits DL 52 i electric wheel chair, all leds flash 3 times.

The number of lights that are blinking indicate what the problem is. Visit this site to locate the type on controller on your power chair and you will be able to see that the blinking lights mean:

Try to reset your manual brake release as this is a common problem.
If you continue to have a problem, contact your manufacturer or dealer for service. If your insurance purchased they power chair for you, they may also cover the cost of repairs.
Good luck!

Put a used controller on my Quantum chair. It lights up but wont go. Has a picture of a chair with a square beside it but won't go?

That's the problem with buying used parts as they take a chair that doesn't work properly and see the parts off., even the part that caused it to fail and be sold or scrapped.

Send that part back and buy new. But what if the controller is not the issue though.

No model given, just the maker. Add the model to his search query.

Your chair voltage REGULATOR may also be going bad which appears to be WITHIN the "Main Brain" of your chair?
"TECO FM-50"

regulator-gkhd23p0qwnavtoilob1hbhw-1-2.jpg From the above schematic ~ there is a "Potentiometer" shown (lower left) that MAY be 'dirty' and needs a tiny squirt of "QUALITY" contact cleaner WITH SILICONE to help keep the internals clean... looks something like this (a Google Search):

clean-gkhd23p0qwnavtoilob1hbhw-1-5.png

I would also spray ALL of your control switches too including the inside of your joystick controls! Just a REAL QUICK squirt should do it... if it drips, you've used too much.

I hope this HELPS YOU!

I have a 6000z quantum wheel chair and cannot find how to get rear battery out

It comes out the front also.....but it is a real pain if the cabling was put on with out any thought the last time they were replaced. I had to hire a neighbor hood teen ages to get down and "walk" the battery out by rocking it back and forth.

Sounds as though one of your motor/servo connections has come loose. Here is a manual for the chair. http://www.manualslib.com/manual/134605/Pride-Mobility-6000z-3mp.html#manual
You might wish to check out page 19 of the manual where it describes in fair detail where the connections are and how to reset the breaker.

Quantum 6000z Power Wheel Chair's motors are both squeaky. Is there some way to quiet them?

I know it sounds weird, but try snugging down the wheel lugs. Frequently works.
