SOURCE: RCA prov712 battery will only last 5 minutes

Be sure to charge for AT LEAST 14 hours on the new battery, even if the charger light goes out - it's still trickle charging. It's normal for most camcorders to auto-shut off after 5 minutes, if it's not recording. But if your batt light comes on, the problem is probably with the battery.

SOURCE: How do I hook up a 75 ohm cable to the unit?

You need a simple Male RF adapter to a 300 ohm connection. Go here to see the picture http://www.showmecables.com/productDetailsPopUp.asp?idproduct=1889 and print it out and take it to radio shack and show the salesman there. they will have this part for you for sure. Good Luck

You can purchase an RCA universal remote that will let you access the A-V inputs. These only cost about $10.00 or so. Stargazer

Underneath the black battery, when you take it off to charge, there is another small battery compartment it holds a round battery about an inch in diameter. try replacing it. that might be the problem. hope it works out for you.

How can i power up my cam without the wall adapter or a battery that will not charge so i can see if it even works anymore?

yes you can "Rig" something up,but make sure you are using the right voltage as well as the right milliamps the cam is made to recieve.this is Very important. and of course make sure the wires you are using to power the cam are not touching or crossing each other at any time, and they do not touch the wrong contact in the camera as well. I have found using a piece of cardboard and taping the wires to it, keeps the wires seperated. good luck, and take your time when connecting your wires.

How can i power up the cam to a wall oulet without having the plug or an up to date battery?

As I understand your query, you are attempting to use equipment without any of the required peripherals, and without wishing to purchase them.
Good luck.

When the battery is on the charger there is 2 lghts one is power the otther is charge when the light is on for charge do it mean it is fully charged or charging

Yes, when both lights are on.. it means the battery is charging. The "charging" light should turn off once the battery is fully charged.

If the "charging" light remains on 12 or more hours later, your battery might need to be replaced.

I cant get my tape to play for longer than 3 seconds.. or record for 3 seconds..it always shuts off.. Any advice, cause the camera is in mint condition?

That monster looks old. My guess is that the battery is not holding enough of a charge and may need replacement. Can you plug this into the wall for power? Are you getting any error codes?

PLEASE HELP!! I am going on a business trip tomorrow and ALL of my requisite files are on my Dell Latitude D610 that won't power on. PROBLEM: once I removed it from my docking station at work, it won't...

When you say you "tried turning it on with the battery removed", did you leave it plugged into the wall with the charging adapter at the time? Please clarify that you tried to use it while plugged in without the battery and it would not power up? When you plugged it in without the battery, was the green charging light on? Or did you get no power light at all?

With your battery in, try using a different outlet to plug into. Plug it into another outlet and when the green charging light comes on press and hold your power button on your keyboard and do not release it for 30 to 45 seconds. Tell me if this boots up the pc even if just for a moment?

There are three lights on your keyboard that should come on when the laptop is plugged in and turned on. One is the power light, the other is the battery charging light and the last one is the hard drive indicator that looks like a round cylinder on the picture. Tell me when you plug it into the outlet and the battery charge light is on, does the hard drive light come on and/or flicker when you try to power up the laptop? How many lights come on when you press and hold down the power button with the cord plugged into the wall?

Will not come on or be installed

Many laptops do not have enough power resources to keep an mp3 player charged/properly functioning. To test, you will need to close all running programs, and devote the laptop solely to the function of charging the mp3 player (the laptop will need to be plugged into a wall outlet even if it has its own battery). This is not a guaranteed fix, but it is your only hope with a laptop. You will not experience the same problem on a desktop unless that mp3 player's hardware itself is faulty.

Kodak Camera V610 easy share

Hi!
This is what I need you to try..
If you're using a 5v ac adapter to charge the camera's battery - please hook it to the camera WITHOUT THE BATTERY in it. The 5v ac adapter can be an alternative power supply.

Turn on the camera - check if it would do the same thing - like lighting up, making a noise (attempting to extend the lens) and closes. If it does, the camera needs to be sent in for repair.

visit www.kodak.com/go/itg to arrange repair

If you are using a photoframe dock2 or camera dock series 3 to recharge the camera's batt - use its 5v ac adapter. It will work with the cam. Make sure, the batt is not in it to check the cam's condition, isolating the possible interference of the battery.

If the camera works fine - when the AC adapter is attached, no battery in it - consider buying a new battery.

V610 is a very nice camera, but it was manufactured in 2006. If you have not replaced the battery yet, it might just need to be replaced. Even Li-ion rechargeable batteries wear out eventually - it can only last up to 300 charging cycles.

If you're using a batt that is less than a year old, the cam might just need to be sent in for service.

Charging up without my computer

wal-mart has a set of two usb adapters one is for your car the other is a wall...all you do is plug your usb cable into the end and the other into the mp3 player. it will work to charge any mp3 player, i think it is about 20 bucks but lots cheaper than a rca or apple brand one.
