CR life error The CR scan path counter has reached a predetermined level.
(The end of life of the Ink Supply Tube)
Replace the Ink Supply Tube (INK, SYSTEM, ASSY) and reset the counter using the Adjustment Program. In addition, check the statuses of the CR motor (MOTOR ASSY.,
CR), the driven pulley, the Carriage Unit, and the Head FFC, if any abnormal noise or wear is found, replace the corresponding part(s) along with the Ink Supply Tube.1120
CR lock error The CR encoder failed to read the CR scale during a predetermined time period. Replace the CR encoder (BOARD ASSY., ENCODER, CR).
Replace the CR scale (SCALE, CR).The carriage unit does not operate due to a CR motor failure or some reasons. Move the carriage unit manually to check if it moves smoothly, and fix any abnormality.

CR reverse error An abnormal operation (reveres movement) of the carriage was detected a predetermined number of times. How do i solve the cr motor problem of epson L110 printer?

CR motor is the carriage motor that moves the printhead side to side. ( as opposed to the PF motor that feeds the paper)

normally if you are have CR motor issues it is because of a piece of paper caught in the mechanism or a dirty or dry carriage rail.

move the carriage from side to side and see if you get a full range of movement. where is stops is where the paper is caught

to clean the carriage rail,
then just wipe all the old sticky grease and oil off the carriage rail and apply new lubricant.. epson have a special grease for their techs to use, but WD40 or silicone spray will work just fine.

Epson Stylus Pro 7800. Bought it from ebay. service error 100004 is the latest. Got past the other errors so far by replacing 2 of the driver chips and 2 fuses on the mother board and cleaning every...

Are you sure the code is 100004 and not 00010004? If the code is the latter then I've found out that it is a CR encoder check error. Check this site out http://printcopy.info/?l=en&mod=erc&brand=Epson&model=Stylus%20Pro%207800

Hello I hae a problem with my EPSON Stylus Pro 7800 it said maintenace request 0002 what I have to do for solving it

Its more of a fiddly job than a difficult one. Remove both end covers and drop down the tray which has the mainboard on. Loosen the tension on the carriage belt, remembering to check the belt tension on the scale before doing so, then remove the belt from the pinion of the motor. Unplug the connector for the motor from the mainboard, then undo the cable from all the various clips and pieces of tape up towards the motor. Then remove the motor and do it all again in reverse. Once its installed you will need to reset the counter to clear the error message.

This happens when you let the "maintenance req. 0040" go for to long. The machine turns itself of to prevent damage.

Solution: Call epson and they will give you the reset code. Cannot find these codes online so if you do call please post instructions

What does error code 1000060 for the epson 7880 mean?

1. Measure the resistance value of the CR Motor. (5.8Ω)
If the CR Motor is found in short mode, replace the C472MAIN Board at the same time.
2. By visual inspection, check the T Fence for any defect, such as damage or soiling, which can cause faulty reading by the sensor.
3. By visual inspection, check the harness of the CR Motor for any problem causing a short circuit to the frame.
