Height adjustment on monitor stand is stuck. This stand is used on the Samsung SyncMaster 213T and the Dell 2001FP monitor.

I'd call or email samsung. They actually want to know about product problems so the next edition is an improvement. Their Owner's manual should have contact info, or the install cd or google. Tomshardware.com
always seems to be very helpful and may have a "fix".

Monitor 1707fpt

I would suggest you try this to fix your problem. Go to Control Panel from the start menu if you are using Windows 7 and Windows Vista. Click on the Display Setting and adjust the screen resolution to the recommended Screen resolution. On the Display Setting at the top of the you should see number 1 and 2 with a large box ,on the right side of these boxes there is a menu that you can click on, these menu are {Detect and Identify} click on Detect first and then Identify. I hope this solves your problem.

I have a dell 1908fp monitor And the silver rectangular button is stuck which stops me from adjusting the height on the monitor. How do I fix?

I didn't think this model had a height adjustment. Have you adjusted the height in the past? Maybe the silver button detaches the stand from the lcd screen.

I'm not getting any power to my Dell 1707FPT Monitor. Is there any way to fix that?

You need to take it apart and look at the solder joints on the 3 legs of the AC input jack, then look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops as shwon in my pictures here:

Be real careful on the front bezel switch/flat cable assembly!

How do i adjust the stand so that the monitor is is not to low on the stand

Here's the manual for your monitor.
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/E176FP/En/index.htm

If you got it with the stand it usually comes with, I'm afraid the height is not adjustable. The screen can tilt toward you and away from you, but that's all.

Sorry I don't have better news!

Height adjust for Dell UltraSharp 1907FP 19" LCD Monitor

Is it stuck, or just not adjustable? Try setting it on a phonebook. I'm kidding. If it is an adjustable base, sometimes they need a little downward pressure before the button will depress and allow it to move upward.

Thanks,
Chris
