Remove four screws on back of unit, cut red wire going to round beeping speaker inside lower front faceplate. problem solved it will never beep again but still read temp correctly.

Worked for me, but the back buttons fell out and the small ones have to be replaced with the nubbies on the side over the post and the big one goes in with the notch facing the post one side.

There are two red wires. Cutting the top one stopped the outside transmitter reception and cutting the bottom one stopped all power. Repaired the wires found the manual which said to use the alert button to reset the upper and lower alarm limits at which time the alarm quit sounding. Pressing the alert button for three seconds and using the + and - buttons on the back of the unit to set upper and lower limits that met my needs. The manual is available athttp://www.manualslib.com/download/76935...
    Good luck.

The Thermo temp flashes HHH ....and the thermometer keeps beeping...??? What do I do!?

That means the temp is higher than the unit is able to detect. If it has been exposed to very high heat then it is damaged. It may still have a bad sensor.

My taylor 1525 thermometer does not display or not working

I've just been through this with my Taylor. My first mistake is that I put the batteries in the wrong direction... I corrected that and it only worked for a short time, then quit.. Ultimately, I had to get my multi-meter out. I found that one of my batteries was faulty.. Now, you have to remember that there are two AAA batteries in the main unit... and two of them in the remote that you place outside... Go.. You can fix it...

How do you replace the battery on a Taylor 508 Connoisseur Digital Instant Read Thermometer

1) remove the soft rubbery cover from the back of the thermometer, this will expose a screw which holds the front plate on. 2) remove the newly exposed screw 3) use a knife or screwdriver (in the small slot on the side of the thermometer) to pry the two pieces of plastic case apart. This will expose the battery 4) use a screwdriver to remove the 1 screw holding the battery cover to battery. 5) replace with a CR2032 3V Lithium cell 6) replace screws and covers
