They could have been a bad batch of batteries. Sometimes batteries aren't fully charged as they should. Try another batch. If the same thing happens go back to the store and request either a replacement or a refund since the clock should have a 2 year warranty
Used batteries from several different packs & a couple of different stores. Transmitter batteries hold up ok.Used batteries from several different packs & a couple of different stores. Transmitter batteries hold up ok.
In that clearly that clock is draining too much juice. Go back to the store with a proof you bought it there and request a replacementIn that clearly that clock is draining too much juice. Go back to the store with a proof you bought it there and request a replacement

2.5 Watts sounds pretty high for an LED strip. If the batteries are paralled and the applied power is 1.5 Volts, then you will be pulling 1.6 amps - the batteries won't last long at all. The batteries are good for around 2500maH, (Milliamp hours). so figure you may get around 2 hours of life for the batteries.
We suggest Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries to our customers in our camera shop, and they love them! They last a really long time, and are well worth the extra cost. We sell loads of them, and I've only had good comments back, not one bad one. I hope this helps. If it solves your problem, please rate my solution favorably. Thanks
Try using recomended batteries:
optional KODAK EASYSHARE Docks with 1 KODAK Ni-MH Rechargeable Digital Camera Battery KAA2HR; 2 Ni-MH batteries AA, 2 lithium batteries AA; 1 KODAK Lithium Digital Camera Battery CRV3; KODAK Ni-MH 2100mAh Battery Pack, KODAK Digital Camera Battery AA (ZR6); KODAK Alkaline Digital Camera Batteries AA; 3 volt DC input AC adapter
Mine usually last at least 6 months. But I am careful to lean it back slightly to make sure It's not touching the switch on the bottom, and I only use fresh energizer batteries.
Yes, there is definitely a fault with your camera.
You should be able to return it for a replacement.
I wouldn't experiment too much with batteries in this camera. batteries discharging this quickly are likely to overheat, causing unmentionable catastrophe.
Because digital cameras require such a high amount of current it is not recommended to use Alkaline batteries. My best suggestion would be to purchase rechargeable batteries that meet the following requirements.
(AA Rechargeable Batteries with a minimum of 1800mAh (or higher) Nickel MetalHydride 1.2V). or (Panasonic CR-V3 3V Lithium Battery)
