It could be the capacitors on the internal power supply. have broken down causing the screen to power up, run out of power, run out of power and turn off. then loop again. if you feel up to it, unplug the TV (Saftey first!) , take the back off the tv and have a look for any capacitors that do not have a flat top. if the top of them look or feel dome shaped, they need to be replaced. the ones that are "bulged" need to be replaced after that my guess would be that the TV would work fine. if you can or know some one who can solder this may be an easy fix. and cost less than 5 pounds good luck!

It most likely needs a zsus board, may need more than one board.

there is a chip on the zsus board, these chips are notorious for over heating and failing.

No picture only sound.

And if not the LED panel lights it is the board that powers the lights or the inverter board.

Diagnosing a LCD blank screen problem.

Recently a 3 year old VIzio TV I bought started having problems. The set would turn on normally for a few seconds then the picture would go dark with everything else operating normally including sound. Remembering a similar laptop computer problem I diagnosed previously, I immediately suspected a defective TV screen backlight. To verify this in your own TV, get a very bright flashlight and with the TV operating in the failed blank screen mode, shine the flash light into the blank screen from various angles and distance (including touching the screen). If the LCD is still operating, you'll see a dim motion in the flashlight's reflection, thus proving it is indeed a failed backlight.

Turn on the TV, red light stays on, picture goes blank after a second.

I have the same problem. Factory reset did not help (hold Vol-minus on set and menu on remote five seconds, then unplug). Can there be something in service mode that would help?

Goodmans TW28D11, Flashing green light, screen blank

well, if you have access to the owners manual, the flashing green light may be an error code. check the manual! if no manual, try their web-site, they may have a faq section for that model, or even an error code listing!
good luck!

No Picture, cannot power off without unplugging, flashing green light

The part is Replace an X-tal (Viper) on SSB item 1H00, order code: 242254301397. The small small signal board is the one with the video jack on it. It mat be easyer to replace the SSB but yes it will cost more.
