The bike is a 2000 electra glide classic. Air cooled and fuel injected. Seems to be running fine but worried about the smoke.
Most likely it is oil,, keep checking your oil level.
IF you are running stock pipes (not "True Duals"), the right pipe exhaust ALL from the front cylinder, and SOME of the rear, and the left pipe only blows SOME of the rear alone.
The stock rear pipe splits, some going to the left pipe by itself, and the rest going to the right pipe WITH the exhaust from the front cylinder.
Now, white smoke usually indicates moisture.
Being a (non-VRod) Harley, that eliminates the liquid coolant, because there is none.
Next up that comes to mind is condensation.
BUT, this would burn off fairly quickly.
So is the white smoke only at first, or even when warmed up?
And if warmed up, is it actually coming OUT of the pipes, or OFF the pipes (like some oil burning)?
Testimonial: "Stretch. The bike does it from about 30 seconds to a minute after the bike starts and continues to smoke until I turn the bike off. The exhaust has been switched out but only by slip-ons. The right side exhaust is filthy looking at the tip from the smoke and the other side still looks new. Not sure if that makes a difference."
"The right side exhaust is filthy looking at the tip from the smoke and the other side still looks new." This tells us the problem is with the FRONT cylinder. White smoke COULD be burning oil. If on acceleration it is worn piston rings. If on decel it is worn valve guides. If you have a different air cleaner, it could be an improper install, blocking the banjo bolt passage from the head to the breather, causing oil to collect under the valve cover and pushing past the seals. Maybe a piece of junk got into the front cylinder breather pipe..or it is pinched somewhere. Have you pulled your spark plugs? What do they look like?

D: could be a coil, temperature (heat) can cause an open internally. Could also be the cam rotor sensor (more likely) located under the timing plate on the right side crank case (2 rivits or screws). you can cause this to happen for testing with a hair dryer. Start bike cold, and heat item in question and see if it shut's down early. Could possibly be an ECU, but when they fail it's usually done for good.
SOURCE: my bike quit while riding home the other day.
start of breaking down of HT coil, if breaksdown while warm, leave for a while and start back up, it's HT coil, sounds like you should just carry on and see if it gets worse, then you'll know. unusual for a sudden complete breakdown so you shouldn't be stranded.

SOURCE: How do I change the front and rear brakes on a
Not too hard - Undo the two bolts on the caliper and then seperate the caliper and pull the old ones out. Insert the new ones and put the bolts back in to hold the caliper back together and then install them back on the bike with the two retaining bolts. Use a bit of lock tight (Blue) on the threads. Warning do not let anyone apply pressure on the brakes while you have them off the bike or you will have a mess and/or a problem.
