My tom tom letters dont line up with what i push

Common cause of such problems is the hazard light switch which is mostly little-used leaving the contacts dirty and oxidised.
Operating the switch rapidly for a few minutes often restores normal operation of the flashers.

Go into settings and turn off Assited Text

I've had the same problem only when trying to text while plugged into someone else's charger. As soon as I remove it, it's fine.

You could try - Back up your device using TOM TOM Home. Delete your application, run update, and reinstall application. If this does not work, delete your maps and reinstall. Failing this,, you'll have toerase everything, and then run update

If iIf you have an SD card in try removing that before you power up.

You may also want to try the hard reset.
Paper clip in the tiny hole by the card slot.

Push it in firmly whilst the unit is powered up (not too hard) for about 3 seconds then release

You may have to power down and then up again and even hold down the power button a little longer the first time you do this.

Seeing a few start up issues around at the moment but am not sure if it is a tom-tom update issue or just the tom-tom itself.

If you do a hard reset you may have to set some of your preferences back too.

Dont forget to charge it for a few hours first before trying to use it !

To reset your ONE XL, use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to
push the reset button. The reset button is next to the memory card slot, on the
bottom of your ONE XL. Then turn your ONE XL on.

are you able to get the activation code from the website I linked you to?

You may have to contact tomtom direcly about the code issue, copy protection.. Only they can provide you with the correct code.

Not all the Tom Toms have this feature. The Go 720, and I believe the 920 do, but the ONE does not have the "Help Me" feature.

Im slightly confused???

what was it you need your product code for?
You brought new maps, that need a product code to install?

Now tomtom say you need to buy new maps to get a new product code?
