What I tried is to manly rotate the water trough that has the swing gate & pushed the Stop button. No results. I then tried rotating it back -n-forth several times, unplugged, replugged, posed Start, AND IT WORKED!!!

easiest way is to buy a desk fan the size you want and make up a box to fit on the side.then wire it up in series with the unit.you decide which way to fit the fan for airflow........

That would depend on the size of the freezer. If it's a compact 5-7 cubic feet, then its not necessarily needed, but if it is a large freezer I would recommend buying the hose adapter. The basic function for the hose adapter is draining the water after defrosting the freezer.

So if it's a large freezer that will not be moved, then YES by all means, you need the adapter.
