Where the blade enters the holder there is a lever to the left(looking face on) pull up on that and it releases the blade.

Hi Helen,
Push the reciprocating head protecting your hand with a glove if necessary. All the way to a center point just above the shoe or table of the tool. Then loosen the two fasteners that bind the blade keep horizontally from the spool head. An Allen head is a six sided wrench. Where a Torque style is a star style. Either equivalent in a T-handled wrench works best. On to removal.

Support the spool head from shifting around with one hand whilst torqueing the fastener counter clockwise to remove or loosen it to free the blade. Should the blade be seized or jammed in the well of the spool head. Use a pair of needle nose plyers to free the blade by vigorously shaking then pulling.

All of this should be done with the electrical plug removed from power to protect your safety. For me. Safety glasses should always be worn.

SOURCE: jig saw model 7580 type 4, replacement for blade clamp

There is no model 7580 Jigsaw. The only model close to that I can see would be the 7588 Type 4. Unfortunately that part is unavailable for this model. You may want to contact your local Dewalt service center and see if there is a substitute for that part.

Bosch b4300 jigsaw blade replacement

To change the Bosch B4300 blade - If the grey knob does not turn to release the broken blade, you need to use a LONG THIN flathead screwdriver down the center hole at the top. Unscrew until the broken blade is loose. Pull out. Replace the new blade and then screw the it tight through the same hole at the top. DONE.

I have a milwaukee jig saw, 6268-21 that I cannot load blades.

Yes the Milwaukee 6268-21 does require the use of certain jigsaw blades. You have to use T-shank type blades. You push the tension lever hold it while putting the blade in as far as it will go, then you release the tension lever slowly and it will engage the blade. You should then check by pulling on the blade to make sure it is seated properly and will not come out.

Blade comes out while sawing

I have used the same tool. Make sure that the blade release/ hold tab is engaged. Maybe the return spring is fouled or stuck. Try some lubricant.

My husband has a BLACK & DECKER JS515 VARIABLE SPEED JIG SAW WITH QUICK CLAMP 3.5 AMP which i accidently broke the blade on...i cant figure out how to change the blade..any help would be greatly...

Here is a link to the instruction manual, and just under the place where it says Save These Instructions it tells you how to change the blade.
http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/90520882,JS515.pdf
Fitting the saw blade (figure A)
- Hold the saw blade (9) as shown, with teeth facing forward.
- Push the lever (3) downwards.
- Insert the shank of the saw blade into the blade holder (10) as far as it will go.
- Release the lever.

There is a little lever where the base of the blade fits into the holder that you depress to release the blade...You can see a picture of it in the manual.

I hope this answers your question...if so, please take a aec to rate this post...thanks.
