SOURCE: maytag neptune front loading washer

purely based on the vague information you have given, this could sound like the drum bearings and the fact that it has been neglected for so long has resulted in serious damage to your machine, note to all, never continue to use machines making noises, it can only get worse and do mare costly damage, after all the problem could have been a very inexpensive fix problems on this and any other site, to be fixed by messages (without actually seeing the machine) can only be fixed - or advice can only be given based on the details that are given if you say my machine just stopped then you will not get an answer will you? engineers can help sort out lots of problems without seeing the machine if we are given the right DETAILED information, no matter how silly it sounds, so before you shout and complain at others, have a thought about what you are going to write sorry its bad news but i hope i have helped

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune Error COde "nd"

I had the exact same problem. nd code (no-drain) at the end of the cycle and when I opened the door the machine was still full of water. I took the back panel off the washer and disconnected the drain hose from the pump. (You're going to get quite a bit of water gushing out at you so be prepared with towels or a shop vac.) At this point you should see a little rubber disc over the end of the section you just exposed on the pump. This is a little drain flap. Just lift it up and you should be able to see into the pump a little bit. At this point I poked around in there with my finger and found a hair pin stuck in the pump! I wasn't able to get it out from this end of the pump so I disconnected the big rubber boot which connects the wash drum to the pump. Then I was able to twist the pump (counter clock-wise) and release it from the washer base. I didn't have to disconnect any wires and was then able to see into the other side of the pump and pull the hairpin out. Put everything back together and it's worked fine ever since. I've never even looked inside a washing machine before but it really was really fairly simple. Now my husband really does think I'm a domestic Goddess. I said he should take me out to dinner with the money we saved on a service call!!

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune Error COde "nd"

This is now the 3rd time this has happened. The 1st 2 times it cost me ~$100 to have a technician come in and fix.

This time, I did it easily. For my Maytag Neptune washer, I removed the back panel (2 screws). On the bottom tray is the water discharge pump. On the output side of the pump there is a small cavity under the rubber flapper where a nickle fits perfectly. I removed the nickle, reattached the output drain line. started it up ...

and viola! the problem solved.

SOURCE: Maytag Epic-Z F-28 error code

F28 is a misc error,
most of the time it is because the washer is NOT LEVEL.
1. Unplug waher,
2. Relevel washer. (make sure all legs are equally distributing weight, so as to ensure no shaking). See owner's manual.
3. Plug in, and use.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Maytag washer squeaks when spin cycle stops

We have a Maytag Performa G3300 that we bought on 8/13/2001. It still works great, but on 2/25/10 it stopped heating. We found that by removing the front panel and vacuuming the accumulated lint on the inside of the dryer and the door, the problem was resolved. There were no parts to replace, just vacuuming.

Washing machine displays an LF error code. Started last week during whitest whites cycle in rinse. I cancelled and just did rinse to finish my load. All other cycles worked and yesterday all started...

LF = Long Fill

LF flashes when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on OR water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change.
Is water supply connected and turned on?
Are hose screens plugged?
Is water entering the tub? If so check pressure hose connection to machine/motor control.

Maytag neptune FAV6800AWW top load washer gets to 32 minutes left and goes no further. It starts to cycle for about 5 seconds and stops for about 35 seconds... over and over and over

Is the machine in Spin Cycle when this is happening? What part of the washer selected cycle does the Cycle Status LED say the machine cycle is in.
If it’s in the Spin Cycle I think you have a clutch issue. Do you take any error codes to the LED console display such as dC or uC?
If you stop the machine in that cycle and do a Spin Only cycle will it complete?
Do you want to DIY the fix? Let me know and I will try to help…..Rich
