Did you try to ask this question on the support forum from Onkyo? because I don't know what you mean with reset.
When a device is defect, there is no reset button, to repair it. Only what software is involved or settings in a memory that can lose settings when the power is down, can be "reset" Onkyo USA Support Forum Index page
you may want to try a factory reset by pressing and holding vcr1 button while pressing the power button. do this with the unit on. It will reset back to factory default. so any saved setting will be lost and you will have to set again to your settings.
