To make Google your home page using a Mac Computer and Safari as your web browser proceed as follows:



Open an instance of Safari

Click Safari at the top of the page and select preferences

You will see a Window appear as show below:







Open the General Tab and set your Preferences as you desire including your HomePage by entering the address or having your preferred Web page open and clicking the Set to Current Page button below the HomePage option.

Close the Safari Preference box and your home page should be the one set whenever you open an instance of Safari.

Open an instance of Safari



Click Safari at the top of the page and select preferences

If you are using windows Internet Explorer Proceed as follows:



In order to change your default web page Proceed as follows:

Open an instance of your InternetExplorer

Navigate to a Web page you would like to use as your default Web Page

On the right hand side of your browser you will see a symbol of a cog wheel which represent the Tool options of your browser.

Click on the Cog and select Internet Options from the drop down Menu that appears.

On the General tab you will see the address for your default home page.

Click the button Use Current and the the address of your new home page will be displayed in the box above.

Go to the bottom of the Internet Options Page and click the Apply button.

Close your browser.

Open your browser again and you will find your preferred home page is now your default Home Page

Go to the GOOGLE home page and log into yo GMAIL account there. You can also set GOOGLE as your home page which will then have your gmail always available to you.

Go to the Google page that you want for your home page.
When you are there, look at the top of the screen. Click on Safari, then click Preferences, then General. Under the Homepage link there you can click on Set To Current Page.

Depends upon the browser you are using and the platform (PC or Mac). The general method is to open the browser menu, while already on the page you want as your home page, and look for settings or options, for example. Then, you should see an option to set your home page to the page that is currently displayed. Select that and it'll be your home page from then on, until you change it or some malicious software or site changes it for you!

You can set your favorite webpage as your home page and have it appear whenever you start up your browser. And if you add the home page button to the browser toolbar, you can click it at anytime to get to your home page.
Follow these steps to adjust your home page settings:

1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
2. Select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux; Settings on a Chromebook).
3. Click the Basics tab.
   • Set your home page
     Pick the page you'd like to be your home page in the "Home page" section. You can select to use the New Tab page as your home page. To use another page, select "Open this page" and enter the web address of the page you'd like to use.
   • Add the home button to the browser toolbar
     Want a button on the browser toolbar that you can click to open your home page? Select the "Show Home button" checkbox in the "Toolbar" section.
   • Set your home page as your startup page
     To see your homepage whenever you open Google Chrome, go to the "On startup" section and select "Open the home page."
