mine HP was acting the same way after a jam. I contacted hp and they told me it was a hardware issue and that I would need to purchase a new printer. I found a KB on thier site for this issue. It involved removing both ink carts and then reseting the printer with the ink carts out. it seemed to work.

I dont' think there is a site that exists. If this is a paper jam that occurs every few pages or so...you most likely will need to replace your pickup roller (located up under the machine after removing the cassette

SOURCE: I have a HP OFficjet 7210 All-in-one that keeps jamming.

Clean the pickup rollers and ensure that there isn't a small peice of paper lodged between them. I use a product called "rubber renew", it removes the dust, dirt, etc. and eats away someof the rubber to make it rough again.

SOURCE: Paper Jam, Clear jam

This may be caused by a dirty sensor. Disconnect power supply, open the printer and clean everything. You may use toilet paper. Be careful not to leave fragments of toilet paper inside the printer.

Paper Jam Error on HP Printer

Paper Jam is the most common issue in all the HP Printers ( Officjet, Photosmart, Deskjet Printers )

What Causes a Paper Jam ?

  • Paper thickness.
  • Room temperature OR due to Dust in atmosphere or the room.
  • Paper pulled out in a hurry and paper pieces stuck in Rollers or Carriage
  • Could be Hardware Failure
NEVER PULL THE PAPER STUCK IN THE PRINTER FROM FRONT SIDE OF THE PRINTER ( unless the paper is 3/4th visible in front view if you open the printer front panel door )

Follow the instructions below to resolve Paper Jam issue.
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Open the rear access door ( or duplexer )
  3. Check for any bits of paper stuck, if so, remove them.
  4. Open the front access door where you see the cartridges.
  5. Check for any paper pieces, if so, remove them.
  6. Take a lint free cloth. Little bit Damp ( use water )
  7. Clean the Rear rollers pushing it upwards and close the door.
  8. Close the front access door.
  9. Connect the power cord and power on the printer.
  10. It should be ready to print/copy/scan/fax.
To clean the duplexer ( 2 - sided printing device ) remove the duplexer and clean the rollers you find inside.

If the above steps do not solve your problem, you printer needs repair. Contact HP. ( 1-800-474-6836 )

If the printer is In-Warranty please contact HP for replacement. HP may charge for repair for Out of Warranty printer.

Keep getting paper jam error with my hp 1610 al in one printer there is no paper jammed in the printer

If your printer has a paper tray, do not fill the tray. Overfilling the paper tray is frequently causes paper jams. Many printers have sliding mechanisms that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not correctly positioned, it can cause a paper jam.

Checking the reviews on the Internet HP Photosmart CC335A seems to be far better than the HP Officjet l7680. The main point is that the HP Officjet l7680 does not support Windows VISTA.

Printer says paper jam, but no paper in there

use a flash light check all paper path, specially the area around the toner. all you need is a small piece or other (dust). There is a micro switch that detect the paper travel. so if anything preventing the switch to open, you will get error message.
after that, open the toner door, reseat the toner and close the door. the pirnter should return to normal.
